getting into the limousine with his wife peggy. they got into snyder's black limo and spent time meeting him including general manager bruce allen. allen spoke today about the decision to fire jim zorn. >> obviously, i've been here for three weeks. the record speaks for itself. but this morning at whenever time our plane arrived, jim and i came back to his office and discussed it at that time. i've seen it work in different ways with other teams. but jim and i had talked previously that once a decision is made, please let him know. and that's what we did. >> the redskins, mike shanahan have been at dan snyder ease house all evening long. i'm told no deal will be finished tonight. >>> as you might imagine, lots of folks talking about this. many fans are hoping that a new leader will mean a new attitude here. that's something even some former players agreed with. elaine reyes spoke with arrington tonight. right now she's in potomac where negotiations continue. >> reporter: reportedly mike shanahan is in potomac spending the night at the sthooider residence. we'd love to know what's taking

at the palm restaurant in tysons, where mike shanahan, his wife peggy, dan snyder, his wife, general manager and team advisors were in this corner room, toasting with champagne, laughing and celebrating. they left to head back to dan snyder's house in potomac. mike shanahan was kind, slow-moving, as he left. he was cordial. he approached him to get his reaction on signing as new head coach of the washington redskins. congratulations. >> thank you. >> how excited are you? >> very, very excited. great to be in the nation's capital. >> what excites you the most? >> we'll talk about that tomorrow. nice to meet you. channel 4, right? >> yes. great to meet you. mike shanahan, very polite leaving the restaurant, taking the time to talk to us. he left and was followed by dan snyder. they got outside, got into the cars. a big caravan line of cars. dan snyder said he was going to hold his comments until tomorrow, but certainly it's going to be a very exciting day for the team owner and the new head coach mike shanahan. they are back at dan snyder's home, probably celebrating more. it's a huge day for

as a baby. because of the quake devastation, peggy fox tells us the little girl will have her own home and family. it is only a matter of time now before they bring home their third child, 3-year-old aila from haiti. >> before they had their first child, mathis who is four they always knew they wanted to adopt. >> so many kids in the world need to be adopted why bring others in the world. we have since had our own biological child but we also knew we were going to do this. >> they adopted their second son from texas and have been trying to adopt aila since she was 2 years old. her mother found her in an orphanage. >> i'm excited to get to know her and have a little girl. i have two boys and a little girl would be great. >> 20 minutes after the quake they had an e-mail from the orphanage telling them all the children were okay and to reinforce that relatives actually saw aila in news coverage at the orphanage. >> my sister called and said i saw her drinking a bottle of water on tv. so that's just a relief. >> reporter: now they have learned that aila and other haitian orphans in the pro
